It's Beginning To Look Like... Introducing Uniko Background Blocks Snow Flurry

Welcome,

We are currently on day three of the Uniko Oct / Nov release introductions and today we have Uniko Background Blocks Snow Flurry.

Here I have double stamped the background block, side by side. I have then used the individual snowflakes from the Uniko Framed - Snowflakes stamp set which is complimentary to this new stamp.

For this card I used distress oxide inks to create a rainbow background. I then stamped the Background Blocks Snow Flurry and heat embossed using black glitter powder. Some of the detail has been lost on the photo but the card looks super sparkly and perfect for that Christmas party vibe.

Well that's all from me today but the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have some great stuff for you to check out:

It's Beginning To Look Like... Reintroducing Uniko Pure Florals Poinsettia

Hi there,

Thanks for joining us today as we reintroduce Uniko Pure Florals Poinsettia stamp set.

The fine detail on the poinsettia makes this a perfect stamp to heat emboss and here I have used gold embossing powder on dark blue card. I have then shaded the petals using a white polychromo pencil. The sentiment is also from this reintroduced set.

For this card I have used a dark green card base and added branches from the Uniko Winter Foliage stamp set. I have then stamped and coloured the poinsettia twice, fussy cutting the inner layer and adding to the second image using foam pads, in a decoupage style.

Much more lovely introductions over on the Brand Ambassadors blog pages:

It's Beginning To Look Like... Reintroducing Uniko Christmas Pop

Morning all,

Welcome to the start of the Uniko Oct / Nov release and today we are reintroducing the Uniko Christmas Pop stamp set.

The set contains several trees of differing styles. Here I have heat embossed one using white (or clear) embossing powder along with a sentiment from the Uniko Pure Florals Poinsettia stamp set (also being reintroduced this week). I then selected two pink and three green distress oxides to create a 'haze' effect around the tree and sentiment.

With the solid tree from the set I created a Christmas Angel, adding wings from the Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies set and the head and halo from the Uniko Background Blocks Graffiti Texture stamp. The sentiment is from the Uniko Peace on Earth stamp set.

Now it's time to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors:

And pop back tomorrow for another product introduction.

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Autumn has arrived!

Hi all,

Welcome to my Uniko Brand Ambassador post for October and given that the weather has now and truly turned, I thought I'd celebrate Autumn rather than moaning about how cold and wet it is! (But I might still moan a bit!).

For this card I have used Uniko I Love Coffee stamp set, just what is needed on a soggy autumnal day! My floral background uses Uniko Beautiful Blooms II stamp set which I think works beautifully in the orange and browns I have chosen for my card.

Using fawn / brown based colours I turned the Uniko English Country Garden - Butterflies into moths for my next card. I stamped the solid butterfly over the background and added one of each the small and large butterflies using foam pads.

My final card uses Uniko Winter Botanicals: Sweet Broom stamp set. I masked a section across the upper part of the card on which I later stamped the sentiment from Uniko Floral Vines stamp set.

So that's my autumnal inspiration to match the autumnal weather (might be nicer if the rain would stop!). Thanks for stopping by.

Much love

Uniko Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY - Ink & Flip Seasonal Fun

Good morning,

Welcome to the reveal of two new wonderful Uniko Ink & Flip stencils. If you are new to these, the stencils are (cleverly) designed to be inked, cleaned, flipped and inked using the reverse to create such a fantastic result.

This week we have been revisiting the previously released Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Star and Uniko Ink & Flip Snowflake as well as introducing two new Ink & Flip stencils. Here is the full reveal of the two new stencils.

Uniko Ink & Flip Layering Cobweb

A two part stencil, inner & outer which both can be inked and flipped.

My previous creations used the cobweb to create Halloween style cards but this card represents a cobweb hanging from branches on a frosty morning. The sentiment is from the Uniko Snowflake Serenade stamp set and the branches are from the Uniko Winter Foliage stamp set, die cut using the matching dies for this stamp set.

Uniko Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Christmas Tree

A two part stencil, inner & outer which both can be inked and flipped.

Here I have used only the inner stencil to create my row of Christmas trees. I masked an area across the centre of the card in order to stamp my sentiment from the Uniko Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder stamp set.

So now you've seen the new stencils in full, head over to the Uniko blog and follow the Brand Ambassador blog hop to see their amazing creations. Leave some lovely comments along the way and you could be in with a chance to win your choice of three Uniko Ink & Flip stencils (check out the full range on the Uniko shop).

Uniko Let's Have Some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun - Introducing Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Christmas Tree

Morning!

Welcome back to our week of celebrating the brilliant Uniko Ink & Flip stencils. As part of this fun we have revisited some previously released stencils and we are introducing two new ones. Yesterday we introduced the fabulous Ink & Flip Layering Cobweb and today we are introducing the equally wonderful Uniko Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Christmas Tree.

For this card I stuck with the traditional greens of an evergreen tree and light blues for the outer stencil, representing the sky. I added the stars to the top of my tree and the sky from the Uniko Reach For The Stars stamp set. The sentiment is from the Uniko Most Wonderful stamp set.

I went with non traditional colours for my next card but ones I like to use often on my Christmas cards. I went with a softer palette for the background and bolder colours for the tree which I inked up three times before fussy cutting. I scored a fold line down the centre of each tree, folded and adhered the right half of one to the left half of the next to create my 3D tree. I then adhered this to the inked panel. The sentiment is also from the Uniko Most Wonderful stamp set.

Now head over to the Uniko blog to check out the fantastic ideas the rest of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors had for this great new product.

Don't forget to pop back tomorrow for the full reveal, release and Brand Ambassador blog hop and GIVEAWAY!

Uniko Let's Have Some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun - Introducing Ink & Flip Layering Cobweb

Hiya,

Oh have we got a great new Uniko Ink & Flip stencil to introduce to you today...Layering Cobweb. Perfect for the up and coming Halloween season, and so much fun to play with!

Just look at this beauty, and since when did a monochrome card look so great?! I created my spider by stamping one of the 'flower heads' from the Uniko Mid Century Modern Florals stamp set and added the legs and web string with a black gel pen. Quite effective I thought! Please note that the sentiment is NOT from a Uniko set but I'm sure Bev will look at some spooky sentiments to add to the collection soon!

This is a two part ink & flip stencil and on the above card I have used both the inner and outer stencils, this time adding some colour to the web. Again the spider is created using the Uniko Mid Century Modern Florals stamp set and the sentiment is from the Uniko Floral Vines stamp set. I don't send many (any!) Halloween cards so I thought I could use this as a seasonal birthday card instead!

Don't forget to check out the fantastic creations by the Uniko Brand Ambassadors on the Uniko blog and their own blogs too:

The Male Room Challenge #191 - Trees

Good Morning,

Welcome to this month's challenge at The Male Room.  Challenge #191 has the theme of Trees.

I found this wonderful patterned paper amongst my stash and that gave me the ides of recreating the trees in matching colours using Funky Fossil Quirky Tree dies..

I'm really pleased with how well the die cut trees have matched the patterned paper. I know a lot of people think pink doesn't lend well to a masculine card but I'm not of that view when used correctly. I think the theme of 'Trees' lends a masculine air to this card and challenge.

Now pop over to The Male Room blog and check out the rest of the fabulous inspiration by the Design Team and add your creation to the mix too.

Much love

Uniko Let's Have Some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun - Day 2

Hello there,

Welcome to day 2 of our Uniko Brand Ambassador revisit of some previously released Ink & Flip stencils. Yesterday we had a play around with the Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Star stencil so today it's the turn of the Uniko Ink & Flip Snowflake stencil.

For my first card I created a shaker card, firstly inking the stencil in two shades of turquoise Distress Oxide ink. I then cut out the centre star, backed it with acetate, built up the edges with foam pads to create the shaker pocket and added in some clear sequins. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set) directly on the card base and adhered the shaker topper to finish.

My next card uses Uniko Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas stamp to repeat stamp the background. I then drew the snowflake using the Uniko Ink & Flip Snowflake stencil and coloured the background to highlight the snowflake in the centre. I went on to create a second card in this style to see what it looked like if some of the background were darkened.

The sentiment on both cards comes from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set. I can't decide which I prefer, how about you?

There is of course lots of brilliant inspiration over on the Uniko blog and the Brand Ambassadors blogs, so make sure you have a hop over there to check it out. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the sneak peeks of two new Uniko Ink & Flip stencils!

Steph - that's me!
