AAA Colourful Colourboard #18

Welcome,

A lovely summery colourboard in store for you in this month's challenge from AAA Colourful.

Do you ever get inspired with the colourboard image? I tend to focus on the colours more than the image but maybe I should take some inspiration from the image too...one to think about!

I went for a tropical paradise with my card, albeit a CAS one! I can't remember where the dies are from but I do like the size of the leaves and blooms.

So what are you going to use these great colours for? Looking forward to seeing your creations over on the AAA Colourful blog

Uniko April 2025 Reveal, Release Day, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Welcome!

We have made it to the end of the Uniko April 2025 release which means today we can reveal the lovely products in full and treat you to some more inspiration using some of the new products. There are also details of a Brand Ambassador blog hop and GIVEAWAY at the end of this post.

Uniko Butterfly Serenade Stamp Set

For this card I just used one of the extra butterflies from the set to keep this a CAS creation.

Uniko Layering Flower Fusion Stencil

I have used part of the stencil set to create a floral banner across the bottom of the card and introduced some shading into the ink blending. I used a sentiment from the Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set.

Uniko Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds Stencil

I created an ombre effect by stencilling the same colours on the second flip as I used on the first inking. I really like how this turned out. To make the colours pop, I introduced a black card blank, sentiment strip and enamel dots.

Uniko Originally Organic Flower Garden Stamp Set

I wanted to use the smaller elements of the stamp set with this card and ended up with a super CAS card, which was not my intention but I really like it! Each of the flowers is fussy cut with some being adhered with foam pads.

Uniko Layering Spring Blossom Stencil

Sometimes when I run out of creative steam I like to look at the online card challenges for inspiration which is what I did here for the colours of this card. I inked the layering stencils with orange and teal before heat embossing the sentiment from the Uniko Big & Bold You stamp set onto die cut vellum. Of course you need to somehow attach vellum without seeing the adhesive so I stamped some of the florals from the Uniko Originally Organic Flower Garden stamp set and lay these on top of the vellum, covering the adhesive used to attach it to the stencilled panel.

Lots and lots of beauty in this release I'm sure you agree and of course there is so much more to see over on the Uniko blog and the Brand Ambassador blog hop.

If you follow the hop leaving lovely comments along the way, you could win an Uniko £25 eGift Certificate.

AAA Cards Challenge #284 Sketch

Good afternoon,

Today I'm joining in with AAA Cards challenge #284 which is a sketch challenge using this sketch:

I already had the three ice lollies / ice cream coloured and fussy cut so it was a super quick make with a sticker sentiment to finish off.

Uniko Birthday Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Mix and Match

Welcome,

Today I am using the Uniko Flower Power and Background Builders to mix and match my three cards. I took my inspiration from this lovely card created by Bev during the January 2025 release.

For this card I have used Uniko Flower Power #11 from the January release and Uniko Background Builders: Delightful Diamonds stamp sets. For the sentiment I have used Uniko Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Here I have used Uniko Flower Power #2 and Uniko Background Builders: Round In Circles stamp sets with a sentiment from Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set.

And finally, I have paired Uniko Flower Power #1 with Uniko Background Builders: Seeing Stars and again a sentiment from Uniko Birthday Wishes stamp set.

I hope you like this set of clean and simple cards and I hope they breathe life into your Uniko Flower Power and Background Builders sets again.

Ooo looky here, I've managed a second quick card to enter into three challenges this time (I coordinated!).

Again a stamp set I received with an old magazine and the red and pink colours for the following two challenges:

Color Hues: Color Hues #103-Pink and Red Collaboration

The central focus is from this challenge:

Addicted to CAS: Challenge #275

And that really is all I have time for today!

Seven Hills Crafts January Colour Challenge

Good afternoon,

I'm very pleased that I have found time today to make a card to enter into the Seven Hills Crafts January Colour challenge. It has been ages since I entered a challenge as I'm usually too busy either working or creating cards for the Design Teams I am a part of but today I have found a snippet of time to complete this challenge. Hopefully I will be able to enter more challenges as the year progresses.

The colour theme has been inspired by fashion and a minimum of three colours from the below need to be used:

My eye immediately went to the gorgeous mustard and teal combination on the top row and I decided to team them with the dark blue on the bottom row.

For my card I used Altenew Monstera 3D die set and Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday Line Border die, both brands are stocked in the Seven Hills Crafts online store

That's all for me for today, hope you like the colour match for my card!

Papercraft Challenges #114 - Winter Wonders

Welcome!

Today at Papercraft Challenges we have the theme of Winter Wonders.

I always love to see robins in the garden in winter time so I used my Xcut die to make Mr Robin my main feature and embellished with foliage die cuts.

Now it’s your turn to join in the fun over at Papercraft Challenges and if you need more inspiration the Design Team have some more Winter Wonders for you over on the blog.

AAA Colourful Colourboard #12

Morning!

My exciting news at the start of 2025 is that I have joined the Design Team at AAA Colourful. I’m so excited to be part of the team and I’m happy to be back on a colour based design team again.

So to kick off 2025 we have the following colourboard for challenge #12:

For my card I die cut lots of trees from the five colours above and created a forest tree line before stamping the simply sentiment. I'm a big fan of CAS cards and I've wandered away from them recently so I'm looking to start bringing this back to my crafting. I'm also still going with the Christmas cards as they are my favourite to create, but I promise to move on for the next challenge!!

I hope you like my creation and are of course going to head over to the AAA Colourful blog to check out the fantastic work by the rest of the Design Team, and of course join in the challenge.

Much love

The Male Room Challenge #194 - Clean and Simple

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

How exciting to start Jan 1st with a new challenge from The Male Room. Just a little change to the phasing of challenges this year, we will no longer be taking a gap between challenges. So as one challenge ends, the next will begin the following day...even more time for you to join in the fun with us!

And for January, our theme is Clean and Simple...right up my street! This challenge will run to 4th Feb.

For my card I used a simple one line stamp from Adventures In Ink. I added the sentiment and ice cubes from another stamp set before doing some very simple colouring with pencils.

I quite like a CAS card as they can be quite quick to make, which this one needed to be as I'm running out of time to get everything done for Christmas before the children break up from school and as I ferociously type this blog post!

Looking forward to seeing what you create and also what you think of the fantastic designs from the rest of The Male Room design team over on the blog.

Much love
