Uniko Ink & Flip Inspiration Week

Happy New Year to you all!

My first blog post of 2026 and we are over a week into the New Year already! Back at work and the festive period is a distant memory…as are the chocolates.

Here at Uniko we are having a week of fabulous inspiration using Bev’s clever Ink & Flip designs. Bev was kind enough to let us choose which Ink & Flip stencil we wanted to use and I chose Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern stencil because I just love it! Christmas may be over but as I’ve depleted my Christmas card stash I wanted to start on some cards for this year. And I decided to mix up the colours for a bit of fun.

All three cards were made from one panel of inked trees and I just played about with the layouts to make it work.

Make sure you head over to the Uniko blog to check out the wonderful work by Natalie today and also the rest of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors from earlier in the week and over the next couple of days.

Much love

AAA Colourful Colourboard #23

Almost Merry Christmas!

Everyone ready for Christmas? No me either! Anyway lets not dwell on that when we can be creating something lovely with this month's colourboard from AAA Colourful.

Don't forget you have until 14th Jan to join in so if you are too busy before Christmas, you still have time afterwards.

The colours made me think of ice and snowflakes so I used Uniko's Large Snowflake Two stencil and used three of the colours from the board to ink it up.

Plenty of fabulous inspiration over on the AAA Colourboard blog and that's where you can join in the fun too.

Much love

Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles Stencil Release, BA Blog and Socials Hop

Welcome!

Today is the release of the new Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles stencil and mask set. This new product teams with the Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles stamp set and can also be used on it's own.

For this card I have used the stencil to ink up the three baubles and with the stencil in place I have splattered them with white and gold paints. Once dry, I added the masks over each bauble and splattered the areas around each one with the colour they are inked in. I added the bauble hangers from the matching stamp set and the sentiment from Uniko Festive Sentiments stamp set.

With this card I wanted to create the opposite effect to the first so I adhered the masks to white card stock and inked around them with Distress Oxide inks. I removed the masks and splattered the card with water (to activate the DO's) and gold watercolour paints. I stamped the hangers and bauble 'shine' using the matching stamp set and finally added a sentiment from the Uniko Most Wonderful stamp set.

So as you can see, there is lots of fun to be had with the new stencil and by revisiting the stamp set. The rest of the Brand Ambassadors have been showcasing these product this week too and we now have a BA blog and socials hop for you to check out the inspiration. Leave some love along the way and you could be the lucky randomly chosen winner of a £20 Uniko eGift voucher.

Uniko Christmas In July 2025 Release - Introducing Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern & Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern

Hi all,

We have two fabulous additions to the Ink & Flip stencil range to introduce to you today. First up is the amazing Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern stencil, which I am loving!

Here again I have busted out the blues to create a frosty scene, my trees are a frozen forest! I inked the stencil in white, flipped and inked in blue before adding some stickles to the edge of a few trees for a frosty glimmer.

To break up the pattern I die cut it into a large circle and lifted a couple of the trees onto foam pads (using trees from the offcut piece). I added a sentiment from a new set being introduced later this week.

On my next card I have used green card and inked in two shades of green oxide ink before adding some cute gold gems to the top of the trees. The sentiment, which has unfortunately not photographed well, is from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Next up is the the equally fabulous Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern stencil.

Here again I have inked once using white ink, flipped and used glitter stencil paste for the other half. I did have to ink this side in white also to make the glitter paste stand out as it dries clear like glue!

I noticed the snowflakes fit nicely into a hexagon shape so I die cut this and a small frame to offset. I added a sentiment from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

For this card I really wanted to use a bright pink and black colour scheme, so I inked the stencil with black ink before flipping and using a bronze glitter paste.

I then cut the piece into three strips before adhering to a black card blank. The sentiment is from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Don't forget to head over to the Uniko blog to check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the lovely Uniko Brand Ambassadors.

Steph - you are here

Still more exciting introductions to come on this great Uniko Christmas in July release so make sure you come back tomorrow.

Uniko Christmas In July 2025 Release - Introducing Layering Christmas Bauhaus Blocks Stencil

Morning all,

Today we are introducing Uniko Layering Christmas Bauhaus Blocks stencil which is a three layer stencil that builds up to create the cutest Christmas montage.

For my first card I focussed on shades of blue to give that icy winter feel. I simply used the three stencils with one shade of ink per stencil and cut out the image before adhering to the teal card. I added some white splatters to the background in an attempt to create 'snowfall'!

For my next card I wanted to use different colours in different areas so I have inked each layer with multiple colours depending on what the item was (e.g. green for the holly leaves, red for Santa's hat etc). I added two extra hollies to the bottom to fill the space and to make the sentiment more relevant! I also added some flicks of my wink of stella pen to the black card blank for a little shimmer.

There's definitely a play factor to this stencil where you can create many different looks with different colours, mediums and tessellation which you can see this demonstrated by the Uniko Brand Ambassadors on the Uniko blog and along this hop:

Steph - you are here

Look forward to seeing you back tomorrow for more Christmas in July release introductions.

Uniko Ink & Flip Stencil Masculine Brand Ambassador Inspiration

Good morning,

Welcome to the Uniko Brand Ambassadors joint post today where we are using Uniko and Ink & Flip stencils to create masculine projects.

I have used two different shades of blue ink to create my star using the Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Star stencil and added sentiments to the centre from Uniko Sparkle Sentiments and Uniko Reach For The Stars stamp sets. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold onto vellum before adhering to the aperture which I cut out using a craft knife.

Just before the Uniko Brand Ambassadors celebration of Bev's innovative Ink & Flip stencils, we found out that a well known US brand has taken some of Bev's Ink & Flip designs without asking permission. They recently showed some sneak peeks of their August release which featured designs which are an exact copy of Uniko's Ink & Flip Christmas Star and Uniko's Ink & Flip Geometric Christmas Tree. Hopefully when Bev reaches out they will see their error and rectify it. But in the meantime, a friendly reminder to support small independent businesses. 😊

Lots more lovely masculine inspiration from the Brand Ambassadors if you follow this blog hop and if you leave lovely comments along the way you will be entered into a draw to win your choice of Uniko Ink & Flip stencil.

Uniko April 2025 Reveal, Release Day, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Welcome!

We have made it to the end of the Uniko April 2025 release which means today we can reveal the lovely products in full and treat you to some more inspiration using some of the new products. There are also details of a Brand Ambassador blog hop and GIVEAWAY at the end of this post.

Uniko Butterfly Serenade Stamp Set

For this card I just used one of the extra butterflies from the set to keep this a CAS creation.

Uniko Layering Flower Fusion Stencil

I have used part of the stencil set to create a floral banner across the bottom of the card and introduced some shading into the ink blending. I used a sentiment from the Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set.

Uniko Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds Stencil

I created an ombre effect by stencilling the same colours on the second flip as I used on the first inking. I really like how this turned out. To make the colours pop, I introduced a black card blank, sentiment strip and enamel dots.

Uniko Originally Organic Flower Garden Stamp Set

I wanted to use the smaller elements of the stamp set with this card and ended up with a super CAS card, which was not my intention but I really like it! Each of the flowers is fussy cut with some being adhered with foam pads.

Uniko Layering Spring Blossom Stencil

Sometimes when I run out of creative steam I like to look at the online card challenges for inspiration which is what I did here for the colours of this card. I inked the layering stencils with orange and teal before heat embossing the sentiment from the Uniko Big & Bold You stamp set onto die cut vellum. Of course you need to somehow attach vellum without seeing the adhesive so I stamped some of the florals from the Uniko Originally Organic Flower Garden stamp set and lay these on top of the vellum, covering the adhesive used to attach it to the stencilled panel.

Lots and lots of beauty in this release I'm sure you agree and of course there is so much more to see over on the Uniko blog and the Brand Ambassador blog hop.

If you follow the hop leaving lovely comments along the way, you could win an Uniko £25 eGift Certificate.

Uniko April 2025 Release Introducing - Layering Flower Fusion Stencil

Good morning,

And welcome to today's introduction post on the Uniko April 2025 release. Today we have a great layering stencil called Layering Flower Fusion, which consists of 4 stencils.

For my first card I used bronze and silver metallic inks on black card, along with white ink for the leaf stems. I added a sentiment from the Uniko Everyday Sentiments stamp set and finally some small gold embellishments for the flower centres.

My next card shows how vibrant the stencil is when using bold colours. I also liked that the large florals were similar in shape to the Uniko Flower Power #7 stencil so I used the masks in this set to cut around and edged them with faux stitching. I added a strip of ink blended card with a sentiment from the Uniko Mid Century Modern Everyday and Uniko Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder stamp sets.

Hop over to the Uniko blog now to check out what beauty the rest of the Brand Ambassadors have created with this fabulous new stencil.

Uniko April 2025 Release Introducing - Butterfly Serenade

Good morning,

Thank you for joining us as we introduce the first product on the Uniko April 2025 release, Butterfly Serenade.

Here I have stamped the Butterfly Serenade in black and used hot pinks to make the butterflies pop. I have added extra butterflies from the set around the main stamp and added some using foam pads under the wings.

With this card I heat embossed the butterflies and sentiment using clear embossing powder before ink blending over the top to bring out the patterns.

Much more loveliness using this new stamp set over on the Uniko blog and plenty more to come as we head through the week.

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Stencil - Layering Organic Blooms and Organic Blooms Clear Stamps

Hi all,

Welcome today as we introduce yet more loveliness on the Uniko 13th Birthday release.

First up we have Uniko Layering Organic Blooms stencil, a very lovely floral which looks great in lots of colourways.

I love this image in the blues. Which led me to think of Monet's Water Lilles so for my next card I used light blue card to stencil onto (the lake) and chose water lily colours for the flowers.

We also have Uniko Organic Blooms stamp set to introduce which just so happens to coordinate with the above stencil as shown below!

I stencilled the florals first before using the stamp set to add the outlines but I'm sure it could be done the other way too.

I wanted to show that it's easy to use the stamp set without the stencil too so I went for a more free flowing look with my next card and inked areas of watercolour card before stamping the outline stamps over the top. I went a bit 'artsy' and added some black ink splatters too!

So now you've seen what I did with these great new products, you can also see what the rest of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors did over on the Uniko blog.

AAA Colourful Colourboard #13

Good morning,

Welcome to today's challenge from AAA Colourful. As it's our birthday, the colourboard for challenge #13 looks like this:

I do love a little ink blending with rainbow colours so that is what I did!

I used Distress Oxides in the following colours: Candied Apple, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Broken China, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade. I then used an intricate die to cut the black card and stamped the sentiment using Uniko Simply Said Blocks stamp set.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's rainbow creations and don't forget there's lots of fantastic inspiration over on the AAA Colouful blog

Much love
