Papercraft Challenges #116 - Spring Blooms

Good morning all, 

Today we have a new challenge from Papercraft Challenges and the theme is 'Spring Blooms'. 

I also have to tell you that this will be my last post as a Design Team member for Papercraft Challenges. After two years on the team I have decided it's time to have a change but I wish the Papercraft Challenges team all the best and hopefully I'll be over there joining in some future challenges! 

I have lots of Spring Blooms in my stash so it was pretty hard to choose but I haven't used this stamp from Pretty Pink Posh for a while and I love the simplicity of it.

I always love to see robins in the garden in winter time so I used my Xcut die to make Mr Robin my main feature and embellished with foliage die cuts.

Papercraft Challenges #113 - Under the Mistletoe

Good morning, 

And welcome to the final challenge from Papercraft Challenges for 2024. This month we have the theme of 'Under the Mistletoe'. We have kindly been provided digi stamps by our sponsor Mirtillamente craft shop.

For this card I have used the digi stamp Christmas Town for the above card. I like the simple design of this digi and decided to use the paper piecing technique, printing the image onto green, blue and yellow card. To finish I added red Nuvo drops to the centre tree, crystal Stickles to the star and windows and 3d Pearl Effects to the 'snow' on the houses and trees. 

This stamp is called Christmas Home. Here I have simply coloured the scene with alcohol markers and layered onto coloured card mats.

Papercraft Challenges #112 - Monochrome

Good morning, 

Welcome to Papercraft Challenges where this month's theme is 'Monochrome'.

Although we are well past the Halloween season, I thought it was a good one for sticking to the theme and using only shades of black. The fabulous stencil is from Uniko and it's one of their very clever ink and flip stencils. You ink through one side of the stencil, wipe it clean, flip it and ink through the other side to complete the cobweb. The sentiment is also created using the Uniko Alphabet Outlined stamp set.

Papercraft Challenges #108 - Holiday Time

Hi everyone,

Not your usual holiday card but there is an explanation, aside from the summer holidays being a fabulous time to see butterflies. We spend a lot of our holidays in Northern Ireland visiting my husbands family and very close to where we stay is a Butterfly House. So I decided to use My Favourite Things Brilliant Butterflies stamp set to create my card.

My fairy lady has had her wings covered with Wink of Stella but it's very hard to capture this on a photo. I thought the holographic strip of card would help her sparkle some more and the sentiment 'Razzle Dazzle' from Uniko seemed like a perfect fit!

Papercraft Challenges #104 - Easter

Welcome all, 

This month the theme at Papercraft Challenges is Easter. I love creating Easter cards. I think it's because Spring is my favourite season! 

I stamped my spring wreath and then rather stupidly decided to fussy cut it out. Stupid really because it was a real pain to do and it doesn't add to the card by being cut out in any way!! But never mind, lesson learnt. I added the Easter eggs using foam pads and stamped the sentiment in the centre.

Papercraft Challenges #103 - Carnival / Dress Up

Good morning! 

Today we go live with a new theme at Papercraft Challenges and for our challenge #103 we want to see Carnival / Dress Up on your projects.

This month’s challenge is sponsored by Dr Digi’s and here I have used their ‘Charge’ image from the kids section. The reason I chose this image was because in the past, part of our local carnival celebrations included a wheelbarrow race! We are lucky to still have a fabulous annual carnival and we still have a wheelbarrow display team as part of our carnival parade.

Papercraft Challenges #102 - Anything Goes

Hi everyone, 

Thanks for joining us today where we are launching the first Papercraft Challenges challenge for 2024. Challenge #102 has a theme of ‘Anything Goes’. Always a popular theme so I expect lots of lovely entries to keep us busy commenting on! 

For my card I used the Concord & 9th Color Me Happy Dies (sorry for the American spelling!). These are great fun to die cut and play around with on cards. I wanted a clean looking sentiment so I opted for stamps which I had in my stash from Uniko (stamp sets now retired).
