AAA Colourful Colourboard #19

Good morning,

Welcome to this month's challenge from AAA Colourful and here is the colourboard for this challenge:

Despite the colourcard image being a little autumnal, I decided to head in the direction of summer!

The ice cream dies are from Concord & 9th Cool Treats set. I added a white die cut frame and banner to finish my summery birthday card. I'm not a big fan of ice cream or ice lollies but they are nice to cool down with on a hot day. What is your favourite ice cream or lolly?

Lots of fabulous inspiration over on the AAA Colourful blog where you can also join in with this month's challenge.

Much love

Uniko August 2025 Release - Introducing Layering Retro Stripes and Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves Stencils

Morning all,

Today we have two new stencils to introduce and we are starting with Uniko Layering Retro Stripes.

For some reason this stencil reminded me of a doll I used to own called Rainbow Bright. She definitely had a blue dress and I wonder if she had a rainbow similar to this design which is what triggered the memory. So, I used rainbow colours onto blue card but I had to ink all the layers in white ink first to help the colours show.

For my next card I've moved the stencil around a bit to create a different pattern and added a stamped and die cut sentiment from the Uniko Big & Bold Wish stamp set with matching dies.

Next up we are introducing Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves stencil.

Here I have randomly inked the leaves and left spaces for flowers which I inked using another stencil.

For this card I used the stencil the other way and placed my flowers with the pointy part of the leaf facing upwards. I teamed the stencil with Uniko Mid Century Modern Florals stamp set for the flower heads and the leaf centres.

Two really great stencils which we will all have a great time playing around with. And you can see lots more super inspiration over on the Uniko blog

Steph - you are here

Don't forget we have the full reveal, release, blog hop and GIVEAWAY tomorrow. See you then!

Uniko Christmas In July 2025 Release - Introducing Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern & Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern

Hi all,

We have two fabulous additions to the Ink & Flip stencil range to introduce to you today. First up is the amazing Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern stencil, which I am loving!

Here again I have busted out the blues to create a frosty scene, my trees are a frozen forest! I inked the stencil in white, flipped and inked in blue before adding some stickles to the edge of a few trees for a frosty glimmer.

To break up the pattern I die cut it into a large circle and lifted a couple of the trees onto foam pads (using trees from the offcut piece). I added a sentiment from a new set being introduced later this week.

On my next card I have used green card and inked in two shades of green oxide ink before adding some cute gold gems to the top of the trees. The sentiment, which has unfortunately not photographed well, is from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Next up is the the equally fabulous Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern stencil.

Here again I have inked once using white ink, flipped and used glitter stencil paste for the other half. I did have to ink this side in white also to make the glitter paste stand out as it dries clear like glue!

I noticed the snowflakes fit nicely into a hexagon shape so I die cut this and a small frame to offset. I added a sentiment from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

For this card I really wanted to use a bright pink and black colour scheme, so I inked the stencil with black ink before flipping and using a bronze glitter paste.

I then cut the piece into three strips before adhering to a black card blank. The sentiment is from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Don't forget to head over to the Uniko blog to check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the lovely Uniko Brand Ambassadors.

Steph - you are here

Still more exciting introductions to come on this great Uniko Christmas in July release so make sure you come back tomorrow.

AAA Colourful Colourboard #18

Welcome,

A lovely summery colourboard in store for you in this month's challenge from AAA Colourful.

Do you ever get inspired with the colourboard image? I tend to focus on the colours more than the image but maybe I should take some inspiration from the image too...one to think about!

I went for a tropical paradise with my card, albeit a CAS one! I can't remember where the dies are from but I do like the size of the leaves and blooms.

So what are you going to use these great colours for? Looking forward to seeing your creations over on the AAA Colourful blog

The Male Room Challenge #199 - Fun Folds

Good morning,

Welcome to this month's challenge from The Male Room which is all about 'Fun Folds'.

This is always the type of challenge that gets my little grey matter working. I don't often do different fold styles so I have a little browse on Pinterest and see what I think I can achieve!

I don't even know what this fold style is called so pop me a comment down below if you do. I started with a piece of card A6 in size and scored it into four equal parts along the long side. I adhered this into a square tube using an extra piece of card to attach to the two ends, on the inside. I then cut four further A6 panels, two black and two teal. I decorated each panel with patterned paper, die cuts and sentiments before adhering to the inner square tube. I made my card into a Father's Day card as it's that little bit more special.

Very much looking forward to seeing what you create and to add to my list for the next time we have this type of theme. Lots of wonderful inspiration on over on The Male Room blog so pop over and check it out.

Much love

Uniko April 2025 Release Introducing - Layering Spring Blossom Stencil

Good morning,

Another beautiful stencil for you today on the Uniko April 2025 release. Here we are introducing Uniko Layering Spring Blossom stencil.

This is a three part stencil which I set about inking with pretty Spring colours. Once I had created a full panel, I trimmed it down to A6 card size and used a strip of the offcut to stamp the sentiment and layer across the card front.

For this card I kept to pink inks and die cut the stencilled panel into three different size hearts. I used coordinating cardstock and sentiments from the Uniko Everyday Love Sentiments stamp set to finish the card.

Now hop on over to the Uniko blog to check out the marvellous creations by the rest of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors and leave some lovely comments.

Color My Heart Color Dare #644

Afternoon all,

As I was pondering what card to make today, whilst I sit here full of head cold, I came across the new colour board from Color My Heart Color Dare for their challenge #644

And I was only just thinking the other day how I'd like to make a layered floral with blue and orange so this was perfect timing!

I used layering dies from Altenew and a sentiment from Uniko along with some blue gems to finish the card.

That's all from me, I'm off to have a lie down and try to shake off the remnants of this cold.

I am also entering this into Double Trouble Challenge #187, having used 3 flowers, 2 colours and 1 sentiment.

Update:
Thank you for choosing my card as Sapphire winner at Colour My Heart Colour Dare.

Much love

Papercraft Challenges #116 - Spring Blooms

Good morning all,

Today we have a new challenge from Papercraft Challenges and the theme is 'Spring Blooms'.

I also have to tell you that this will be my last post as a Design Team member for Papercraft Challenges. After two years on the team I have decided it's time to have a change but I wish the Papercraft Challenges team all the best and hopefully I'll be over there joining in some future challenges!

I have lots of Spring Blooms in my stash so it was pretty hard to choose but I haven't used this stamp from Pretty Pink Posh for a while and I love the simplicity of it.

This month we are sponsored by Little Crafts and there will be a surprise gift for the randomly chose winner.

Now it's your turn to join in the fun over at the Papercraft Challenges blog.

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Spring Botanicals Primrose

Welcome back,

We are still going with the Uniko 13th Birthday release introductions and today we have Uniko Spring Botanicals Primrose.

Another lovely addition to the Spring Botanicals series. For this card I stamped the Uniko Large Background French Script in black before layering the primrose over the top which I had ink smooshed and gilded before fussy cutting. Between the two layers I added some black cord and finished off with sentiments from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks stamp set. I think this might be my favourite card of the release!

This card shows the primrose in full (with its leaves) and I coloured it using alcohol markers. The 'plant pot' was created for another card but didn't do what I needed it to do so I have used it here and I think it works well!

There are some amazing creations over on the Uniko blog using this and all the other stamps and stencils as introduced this week. Tomorrow is the full reveal and release day so pop back and check it out. There will also be the usual blog hop GIVEAWAY too.

Much love

Seven Hills Crafts February Challenge

 Afternoon all,

I'm here today to join in with the February challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts.

This month Tara has provided a lovely sketch to work from.

I am unfortunately in need of some more sympathy cards having run down my stash of these in recent weeks. So for my first card I chose some complimentary patterned papers from my stash and teamed them with a die cut heart and appropriate sentiment.

When I had finished the above card, I realised I hadn't used any Seven Hills Crafts products (sorry Tara & Rick), so I set about making a new card using Everyday Labels stamp set from The Greetery and the matching die set. I had the perfect patterned papers to team with this art deco style sentiment set.

That's all from me today. I'm off to collect the children from school soon!

Much love

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Alphabet Solid and Background Blocks Waves

Morning all,

As we continue the Uniko 13th Birthday celebrations we have another two stamp sets to introduce today.

Firstly we have Uniko Alphabet Solid stamp set.

I have used the large letters to create four small 'love letters' to peek out of the four die cut envelopes. Since this is a love card, I thought it would be appropriate to use the language of love i.e. Uniko Large Background French Script stamp for the background.

For this card I lined up the letters to create 'BIRTHDAY' and stamped it in black. I slightly shifted the card and stamped again in purple ink to create a shadow. I then took the 'Happy' from several Uniko stamp sets (some now retired) and stamped around the edges. Finally I added a couple of strips of cardstock in black and purple before adhering everything to a slimline card blank.

Secondly today we are introducing Uniko Background Blocks Waves.

Another great background block stamp with very funky wavy lines which I thought would match well with the Uniko Mid Century Modern Frames stamp set.

This card idea was formed after I went to the cinema with the children. Can you guess what film we watched?! (Follow the yellow brick road...). So we have the poppy field from the Uniko Remembrance stamp set and the emeralds made using the Uniko Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Gem stencil and the Uniko Sparkle Sentiments stamp set. Finally the sentiment and hot air balloon from the Uniko Up & Away stamp set were perfect to finish off my card.

Don't forget to check out the Uniko blog for lots more beautiful creations from the Uniko Brand Ambassadors and come back tomorrow for more introductions.

Much love
