The Male Room Challenge #204 - Floral

 Hi all,

Do we have an exciting and maybe a little tricky challenge theme for you this month at The Male Room. The theme is Floral but of course you have to keep it masculine.

Hmm tricky for sure, so I decided to start with a dark colour for my card base and work with muted tones. I found some floral dies in my stash that were subtle florals and I added a die cut sentiment using Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday die.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for your masculine floral card. Check out the inspiration over on The Male Room blog and join in the fun.

Much love

AAA Colourful Colourboard #14

Welcome!

We have a great colourboard for you today over at AAA Colourful challenge. My personal favourite colour is green so this was super fun for me!

I've had a lot of my stamp sets in storage for the past year so it was great to be able to get them back out and see what I had to play with. The Lawn Fawn Hap-Pea stamp set was perfect for this colourboard.

I stamped all the elements before colouring them with alcohol markers and then fussy cutting. I kept the card CAS with a plain background.

Please do jump over to the AAA Colourful blog to check out the Design Team inspiration and join in the fun.

I’ll be entering this card into the following challenges:

AAA Birthday game #71 where the theme is ‘masculine’.

AAA Cards game #285 where the theme is ‘Anything CAS goes’.

Double D March Challenge where the theme is ‘Going Green!’.

And a challenge that is new to me, Simply Clean & Simple where the theme is ‘Shades of Green’.

Seven Hills Crafts January Colour Challenge

Good afternoon,

I'm very pleased that I have found time today to make a card to enter into the Seven Hills Crafts January Colour challenge. It has been ages since I entered a challenge as I'm usually too busy either working or creating cards for the Design Teams I am a part of but today I have found a snippet of time to complete this challenge. Hopefully I will be able to enter more challenges as the year progresses.

The colour theme has been inspired by fashion and a minimum of three colours from the below need to be used:

My eye immediately went to the gorgeous mustard and teal combination on the top row and I decided to team them with the dark blue on the bottom row.

For my card I used Altenew Monstera 3D die set and Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday Line Border die, both brands are stocked in the Seven Hills Crafts online store

That's all for me for today, hope you like the colour match for my card!

Much love

Color My Heart Color Dare #502

 Afternoon all,

We have a great challenge for you this week at Color My Heart Color Dare:

Can you restrict yourself to just two colours?! We reference Close to My Heart colour names but you can use any brand as long as you make a VERY close match.

After much deliberation, I dug out the patterned papers and noticed this lovely yellow one which I thought would look great on a black card base. I used a fancy edged die to add interest. The pattern in the paper reminded me of my very cute die from concord & 9th so I cut that from blue and black card before piecing together. Finally I die cut and added the Lawn Fawn sentiment also in blue.

Now head on over to the Color My Heart blog to get even more fabulous inspiration from the Design Team and start to plan out your entry. 😊

Much love

Christmas in January?!!!

Hi everyone,

Usually by this point I’ve had enough of Christmas crafting but this year I made the cutest card for my daughters and as I was making it I though it would be easy to replicate. So, 20 Christmas cards later…

I really love the combination of teal and red card. The die cut wreath is from Simon Says Stamps and is a eucalyptus wreath. The animal stamps and matching dies are from Concord & 9th called Furry Friends. These stamps are so versatile! I added the hats from a set I got with a UK card making magazine. Finally the sentiment is from the Simply Winter Sentiments by Lawn Fawn. I added some stickles to the hats which can’t be seen well on the photos on the white trim but looks amazing in real life!

It’s so rare I actually get time to create something not for my own design team obligations so I’m entering these into the following:
