Uniko Christmas In July 2025 Release - Introducing Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern & Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern

Hi all,

We have two fabulous additions to the Ink & Flip stencil range to introduce to you today. First up is the amazing Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern stencil, which I am loving!

Here again I have busted out the blues to create a frosty scene, my trees are a frozen forest! I inked the stencil in white, flipped and inked in blue before adding some stickles to the edge of a few trees for a frosty glimmer.

To break up the pattern I die cut it into a large circle and lifted a couple of the trees onto foam pads (using trees from the offcut piece). I added a sentiment from a new set being introduced later this week.

On my next card I have used green card and inked in two shades of green oxide ink before adding some cute gold gems to the top of the trees. The sentiment, which has unfortunately not photographed well, is from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Next up is the the equally fabulous Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern stencil.

Here again I have inked once using white ink, flipped and used glitter stencil paste for the other half. I did have to ink this side in white also to make the glitter paste stand out as it dries clear like glue!

I noticed the snowflakes fit nicely into a hexagon shape so I die cut this and a small frame to offset. I added a sentiment from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

For this card I really wanted to use a bright pink and black colour scheme, so I inked the stencil with black ink before flipping and using a bronze glitter paste.

I then cut the piece into three strips before adhering to a black card blank. The sentiment is from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Don't forget to head over to the Uniko blog to check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the lovely Uniko Brand Ambassadors.

Steph - you are here

Still more exciting introductions to come on this great Uniko Christmas in July release so make sure you come back tomorrow.

Uniko Brand Ambassador Non Release Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY

Good morning,

On non release month's at Uniko we like to have a little recap of the newest products. Since it has been a very busy start to the year with three releases and February’s big birthday month we haven’t yet done a review so today we are revisiting ALL of the 2025 new products so far.

From the April 25 release I already had the idea to do the above card. I stamped the floral from the Uniko Originally Organic Flower Garden stamp set four times, rotating the card in the stamping platform each time. There was a little masking needed at the outer edges. I then coloured the florals and stamped sentiments from Uniko Organic Blooms stamp set and the retired Uniko You Are, Yes You stamp set. I made this card with a friend in mind who has recently had a cancer diagnosis.

For my next card I also used a product from the most recent release because I was really taken by the versatility of the Uniko Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds stencil.

For this card I used transparent matt stencil paste in two areas of the card, flipped the stencil and inked the black.

There's lots more fantastic creations and a GIVEAWAY if you follow the Brand Ambassador blog hop below. Bev is generously giving a prize of a £25 eGift Voucher if your comment is selected.

Steph - you are here!

Before you dash off, don't forget that as it's the 11th of the month we have a new challenge starting over on the Uniko Ltd Facebook page, which is free to join! The theme this month is 'Anything Goes Birthday', but remember to only use Uniko products.

Much love

Uniko April 2025 Release Introducing - Stencil Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds

Hi all,

Bev has come up with another of her brilliant Ink & Flip stencils, this time consisting of Delightful Diamonds.

When I first saw the stencil I knew I wanted to add an Art Dec twist so I inked the stencil with bronze metallic ink before flipping the stencil and using white stencil paste. To this I added a heat embosssed sentiment from the Uniko Anniversaire Art Decoratifs stamp set.

For my second card I switched the way the diamonds ran and used two shades of blue ink. I added a strip of white card stamped with a diamond strip stamp from the Uniko Background Builders: Delightful Diamonds stamp set. The sentiment is from the Uniko Simply Said stamp set.

Much more amazing cards using this great new product over on the Uniko blog so pop over there now to check them out!

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Uniko Style

Good morning,

Welcome to my Uniko Brand Ambassador inspiration post this month where I have chosen to use the fabulous Uniko Style stamp set. I chose this one because of Bev's super card on the latest release which reminded me of my love for this stamp!

I thought it would be nice to pair the stamp set with a variety of Uniko stencils and each one has turned out surprisingly different.

For this card I have stamped the Uniko Style florals with chalk ink and paired them with Uniko Mid Century Modern Shapes Circles & Stars stencil. I inked the stencil onto green card using a slightly darker green ink and an orange/brown ink.

This time I used dye inks and teamed with the Uniko MOD Background Builder Circles stencil. I kept the design fresh by stencilling onto white card.

Finally I used pink card and stencil paste through the Uniko Quilted stencil for the background of this card. The florals are slightly different too as I have heat embossed the outline and centres onto pink card.

Hopefully these examples will have you dusting off the Uniko Style stamp set and digging out some stencils to have fun getting inky with. I always end up covered in ink when I stencil!

As the first card is a masculine card I will be entering it into the AAA Birthday challenge Game #71.

I would like to enter my third card into the Addicted to CAS challenge #278 and Stencil Fun's March challenge.

Much love

The Male Room Challenge #189 - Mixed Media

Good morning all,

Welcome to this month's challenge from The Male Room. Challenge #189 has the theme of Mixed Media.

Mixed media is not something I do a lot of but I really enjoyed making these cards. I started with one sheet of A4 cut into four pieces and taping them along the edges with low tack tape.

I used Hickory Smoke, Broken China and Speckled Egg distress oxide inks to 'smoosh' the backgrounds. I found a tip online to use acetate as there is more movement in it and it worked a treat. I then used texture paste through the Uniko Raindrops stencil and added some colour over the top using my fingertip. I then randomly, partially stamped Stampin Up! Dictionary around the panels. I die cut the bicycles and clocks from white card and inked them with the same distress oxides. I then pressed parts of the die cuts into Versamark ink and added Speckled Egg Distress glaze. Finally I stamped multiple sentiments from Uniko Simply Said Blocks and Simply Said Blocks III stamp sets and covered them in Glossy Accents.

So now it's your turn to amaze us with your mixed media creations. Join in the fun over on The Male Room blog and check out the fantastic creativity of the rest of the Design Team too.

Uniko 12th Birthday Release Introducing - Ink & Flip Geometric Heart Layering Stencil

Morning All,

Today we are introducing Uniko Ink & Flip Geometric Heart Layering stencil. This is once again a very clever design by Bev, one where the stencil is inked, cleaned, flipped and inked again.

The set consists of two stencils, the inner and the outer. Here I have inked the outer stencil in two shades of pink distress oxide (Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet) onto white watercolour. I have then used Kraft card and versamark ink with gold embossing powder through the inner stencil, flipped the stencil and used white texture paste for the rest of the inner heart. Once dry I fussy cut the inner heart and adhered over the pink background heart. I have gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Uniko Everyday Love Sentiments stamp set and adhered to a Kraft card base.

My next card uses only the inner heart.

I have stencilled two shades of blue ink using the inner heart stencil and fussy cut before layering onto gold glitter card. Again I fussy cut leaving a narrow border. The sentiment is from the Uniko Falling Hearts Serenade stamp set and is heat embossed in gold.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I created with this gorgeous new stencil. Please head over to the Uniko blog where you can see more fabulous designs from the Brand Ambassadors and leave them some love in the comments. Come back tomorrow to see the introduction to first stamp set of the Birthday release.

I am entering my first card into the February Stencil Fun Challenge which has an optional theme of Love / Hearts.

I would like to enter my second card into the Addicted to CAS card challenge #251 with the current theme of ‘heart’.

Much love

Uniko December 2023 Introducing - Ink & Flip Snowflake

Hi all,

Welcome back to the third introduction day for the Uniko December mini release. Today we have a stencil and it's a festive one. It is also another one of Bev's very clever 'ink and flip' designs.

Here I have inked the stencil using Broken China Distress Oxide ink and then made the edges slightly darker using Blueprint Sketch DO ink. After cleaning the stencil I flipped it over and inked it with Seedless Preserves DO ink, using Wilted Violet DO ink on the edges. I stamped the sentiment in black ink using Uniko Festive Sentiments stamp set. Finally I added some sparkle with metallic watercolours splattered across the card (and everything else in the vicinity!).

Of course my curiosity then wondered what this stencil would look like using texture paste and I managed to remember I had this magnificent glitter paste in my stash (I created my own last year using clear gloss paste and glitter having forgotten I had purchased this beautiful stuff!). Oh my...this card is so beautiful and sparkly but it's typically hard to catch all its beauty in a photo. The sentiment is from Uniko Christmas Wishes stamp set and I just love this scrawling script.

Now head over to the Uniko blog and check out the beautiful creations by the rest of the Brand Ambassadors as they are simply gorgeous!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see the full release and join in with the Brand Ambassador blog hop and GIVEAWAY!

Much love

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas Stencils

Hello everyone,

I hope October finds you well. I am here today with my Uniko Brand Ambassador post and I am still very much on the Christmas crafting wagon! I do think Christmas craft might be my favourite.

This month I have focussed on stencils because I think you can make cards pretty quickly with stencils (if you exclude the paste drying time!), you can usually get two cards out of one run of the stencil (A6 size cards) and they add interest without adding bulk for lower postage costs.

For my first two cards today I used the Uniko Christmas Folk Snowflake stencil and white stencil paste.

Once the stencil paste had dried I cut down the panel to make two and adhered to the card bases. I started off with the Kraft card but I definitely prefer the one mounted onto a red card base. To this, I added a heat embossed sentiment from the Uniko Festive Sentiments stamp set which I fussy cut, mounted onto velum and fussy cut again.

My next cards use the Uniko In The Forest stencil, one with white stencil paste and one with glitter stencil paste.

As the stencils are detailed and the focal point on the card I didn’t want to add anything more than a simple sentiment, again from the Uniko Festive Sentiments stamp set and also heat embossed, fussy cut and layered onto velum.

I hope these designs have given you some ideas for quick Christmas cards and ignite your passion for stencils!

Much love

Funky Fossil Gnomes Part II

Morning all,

I didn’t think I’d have time to post Part II of my Funky Fossil Gnomes this week but if I don’t do it now I won’t get round to it for ages and then the Christmas spirit may have passed!

As with the last trio, I have used acrylic paints and a mixture of stencils, texture paste and Nuvo drops.

I will be entering into the following challenges:

Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge #574

The Holly and the Ivy Christmas challenge #106

Happy New Year to you all wherever you are and whatever you will be doing…I’ll be in bed! 😂
