Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #436

Hey there!

Welcome to this week’s Color My Heart Color Dare challenge #436 which is a Tic Tac Toe board as follows:

Choose a row, column or diagonal for your initial colour combination. Feel free to add other colours from the grid and of course the ‘free’ colours as listed. We reference Close To My Heart colour names but you can use any brand as long as it’s a very close match.

For my card I went with the middle row of Peacock, Almond and Sundance but also added in Mint and Fern.

Initially I wanted to use the diagonal of Mint, Almond and Cinnamon but I discovered I didn’t have any card or ink anywhere close to Cinnamon in colour so that’s something I will have to put right as I still think this card would look better with a hefty punch of Cinnamon!

The stamp set I have used is called Simply Succulent Too from Clearly Besotted (UK but can be found at Simon Says Stamps also). I have used Memento inks in Teal Zeal, Toffee Crunch, Cantaloupe and Bamboo Leaves.

If you feel inspired or want to see more fabulous inspiration from the rest of the Design Team please head over to the blog and join in the fun!

Much love

Inchie Craziness!!

 Evening all,

I’ve been trying to get around to making these cards and joining in with the AAA Cards challenge #185 since it went live on Sunday but everything has worked against me this week. However I have finally managed to get my ideas down on paper (well card!) and I’ve gone inchie crazy!

I do love an inchie challenge and I knew straight away that I was going to use my Clearly Besotted Seasonal Selfies stamps. I have simply stamped, coloured and cut them out leaving a narrow border which I have then coloured in or left white depending on the colour card I was planning to adhere them to. I highly recommend this design for quick batch Christmas cards!

Which one is your favourite? Mine? It’s either rudolf on red card or snowman on black card.

Since I went with a Christmas theme for my inchies, I’m going to enter Happy Little Stampers March Christmas Challenge also.

Thanks for stopping by today and lovely comments are always appreciated.

Much love

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #435

Morning all

I’m joining in with my teammates for Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #435 (I usually do the even number challenges) because this week’s colour is my favourite colour!

I wanted to get as many shades of green as possible so I reached for a mandala die and settled in for an afternoon of paper piecing! In my haste to ‘go green’ I forgot to add the one colour of my choice but the patterned paper has a little yellow dot in it so we’ll got with that. 😂

I’m absolutely certain I’ve purchased some adhesive sheets but I cannot find them anywhere so I stuck double sided tape to the back of the card before cutting it and used that instead. Much quicker and neater than trying to glue those pesky little bits in!

I made this card at the beginning of Feb and since I hadn’t yet managed to make a Valentine’s card I decided to turn this into one. Partly because I’m not a fan of lovey dovey cards but also because my husband is Irish (well Northern Irish) so I thought it was fitting!

So please do pop over to the Color My Heart Color Dare blog and join in the challenge. Check out all the other wonderful inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and leave them some happy feedback.

They are also having a lovely green themed challenge over at Double Trouble so I will be entering my card there.

And of course with so much die cutting, how could I not enter Happy Little Stampers March challenge!

Much love

Christmas Craft Creations March 2021

Morning all

We are back again with another Christmas Craft Creations challenge and this months prompt is Christmas Flowers:

I had a dig around in the stash and found a lovely Poinsettia stamp I hadn’t yet used from Creative Stamping magazine. It has a stained glass effect so I surrounded it with a stained glass border from the same set. I mounted it onto a black hexagon and layered it onto slightly bigger hexagons in red and black.

I’ve seen a lot of hexagon cards recently and really like them so I treated myself to a set of dies!

I hope you like my card and will head over to the Christmas Craft Creations blog to see the rest of the Design Team’s  amazing inspiration. And don’t forget to join in and get your Christmas cards started early!

Much love

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #434

Hi everyone

Oh my goodness how is it March already?? In some ways the year is flying by but in other ways it’s dragging...think lovely craft time versus UK lockdown 3.0 and home schooling!

Today we go live with a new Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #434. For this challenge choose at least three of the colours shown and create any type of paper craft. We reference Close to my Heart colours but any brand is fine as long as it’s a very close match.

I decided it was time to get out a layering floral stamp set that I have had for a while but have not yet used...I have a lot of stamps sets like this!! The stamp set is Altenew Modern Anemone for which I also have the matching dies so cutting out the flowers and leaves was very easy.

I started by stamping the outlines of the flowers and leaves in black. I then stamped the inner coloured parts in Sage, Canary and Grape. Once die cut I settled on an arrangement I liked and decided to bring a bit more colour to the card with a Blue Belle background layered onto Canary yellow card. I added a sentiment strip in Canary and used a stamp from a Clearly Besotted set to finish.

Please head over to the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge blog and join in. This colour scheme would be perfect for some Easter cards. Check out the rest of the Design Teams beautiful creations and leave them some love on their individual blogs.

Much love

The Male Room Challenge #148

Good morning all

This is my first post as part of the Design Team for The Male Room Challenge so I’m very excited to get straight down to business!!

So here it is! The Male Room Challenge #148 is anything but a card.

I chose to make a gift box because they are always very handy to have ready. I have had this fabulous paper pack for quite a while and it’s perfect for masculine males.

The centre piece is in fact from the cover sheet that came with the pack but it was the perfect size for my lid so I cut it out and layered it on. I made the box from strong white card and used red tape to secure all the folds. I added the Waffle Flower mini 3D bow and a selection of buttons and brads for some more interest.

Now hop on over to the blog and see what marvellous creations the rest of the Design Team have made and let us see your brilliant work by joining in the fun! Don’t forget to keep it masculine. ☺️

Much love
