Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles & Introducing MCM Baubles Stencil & Mask

Good morning!

All this week the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are revisiting the wonderful Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles stamp set because we have a fabulous new product to add in the form of a matching stencil!

This really is a fun stamp set which really creates impactful cards. Today is the turn of myself and Natalie to showcase the stamp set and the new Mid Century Modern Baubles stencil and mask set.

My first cards this week use only the MCM Baubles stamp set, you will have to wait a couple more days to see what I did with the stencil and masks!

Here I stamped the outline of the baubles and wreath (from Uniko Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder stamp set) onto watercolour card. I used a water brush to pull the ink from the outline to fill the spaces. I fussy cut the three focal pieces before adding berries to the wreath and hangers to the baubles. The sentiment is stamped also from the Uniko MCM Wreath Builder set. Once I had adhered all the items I added bauble strings with a white gel pen and some Christmas sparkle with crystal stickles.

On my next card I stamped and fussy cut the three baubles from the Uniko MCM Baubles set and coloured them with alcohol markers. I added details to the baubles using Nuvo drops, stickles and pearl drops. Once dry I added the bauble hangers, strings and stamped the sentiment in white ink.

I have definitely had great fun revisiting this stamp set and playing with the new stencil and mask set has been fun too...but you'll have to come back on Saturday to see my makes using those!

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Retro Autumn!

Good morning,

Retro Autumn?! What do I mean by that? Well simply that I have combined the Uniko Layering Retro Lines stencil with a few Uniko autumnal sets.

I stencilled three panels with the same green shades using part of the Uniko Layering Retro Lines stencil. To all three I added a sentiment from the Uniko Butterfly Serenade stamp set.

For this first card I used a grey ink and added a floral outline from the Uniko Originally Organic stamp set.

Next I added some colour using the Uniko Autumn Serenade stamp set, both the large stamp and some of the smaller elements in the set also.

Finally I went super simple with just one leaf stem stamped in green from the Uniko Originally Organic Flower Garden stamp set, and added a few dots of colour with Nuvo drops.

The change in weather in the UK is definitely influencing my crafting this year. I can't remember it doing so in previous years other than I do like to switch over to festive crafting in autumn because they are my favourite cards to make! Do the seasons influence your crafting style?

Uniko January 2025 Release - Introducing... Ink & Flip Layering Flower Stencil AND Simply Said Blocks Occasions Clear Stamp Set

Good morning,

Anyone know what day it is? We are most definitely still in that 'lost' period before the children go back to school and we get back to usual routines! Right, I think it's Friday! Blimey that means I really need to get a wriggle on and make sure the children actually have what they need ready for school on Monday...new school bags (Christmas presents), clothes that fit, shoes that weren't ruined before they broke up for Christmas...!

Taking a break from my household issues (!), lets look at the next two products on the Uniko January 2025 release. Here we have another brilliantly designed Ink & Flip layering stencil, this time a Flower.

I have used both the inner and outer stencils but kept the colours the same when inking up both for a streamlined look. I have heat embossed the sentiment from the Uniko Birthday Sentiments set which is well worth an investment if you don't already have this. I use it all the time.

I love to use the inner stencils from the ink & flip range to create shaker cards like the above. I added some small sequins and glitter to the shaker. Turns out the glitter was a slight error as I don't appear to have a full closure around the edges and every time I shake the card the desk ends up covered in glitter!! I thought this would make a cute new baby card so I used the Uniko Everyday Spring Sentiments stamp set.

The second Uniko product being introduced today is Simply Said Blocks Occasions stamp set which adds to and builds on the Simply Said Blocks series.

This card is from yesterdays blog post and is not at all in season but I was so excited to see the Halloween sentiment and when I picked up the Uniko Mid Century Modern Stars & Circles stencil I saw spooky eyes! I created the 'eyes' using black and white Nuvo drops.

There is lots more amazing inspiration on the Uniko Brand Ambassadors blogs. Hop over and leave them some love.

Papercraft Challenges #113 - Under the Mistletoe

Good morning,

And welcome to the final challenge from Papercraft Challenges for 2024. This month we have the theme of 'Under the Mistletoe'. We have kindly been provided digi stamps by our sponsor Mirtillamente craft shop.

For this card I have used the digi stamp Christmas Town for the above card. I like the simple design of this digi and decided to use the paper piecing technique, printing the image onto green, blue and yellow card. To finish I added red Nuvo drops to the centre tree, crystal Stickles to the star and windows and 3d Pearl Effects to the 'snow' on the houses and trees.

This stamp is called Christmas Home. Here I have simply coloured the scene with alcohol markers and layered onto coloured card mats.

Looking forward to seeing you join in the fun over at Papercraft Challenges

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Much love

It's Beginning To Look Like... Uniko October/November Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Welcome!

We have finally made it to the Uniko Oct / Nov reveal, release and Brand Ambassador blog hop with GIVEAWAY.

Lets start with the reveal:

Christmas Pop (Re-released)

I have teamed the re-released Christmas Pop stamp set with the Uniko Background Builders: Winter Wonderland stamp set.

Pure Florals Poinsettia

Firstly I stamped the poinsettia in a light ink so I could follow the outlines loosely with watercolour inks. Once dry I stamped and heat embossed the poinsettia and sentiment.

Background Blocks Snow Flurry

I have stamped the BB Snow Flurry twice and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. To this I added the Uniko Big & Bold Snow sentiment and heat embossed also. Finally I ink blended three colours of distress oxide ink down the panel.

Big & Bold Joy

The 'Joy' is heat embossed using gold powder and to this I have added stamped the rest of the sentiments in dark green. The further elements are from the Uniko Peace On Earth stamp set.

Framed - Fairy Lights

I firstly created the background using Uniko In the Forest stencil. Over this I stamped the Framed - Fairy Lights stamp. I then carefully filled the lights in using Nuvo drops.

The release should now be live on the Uniko blog and for the GIVEAWAY please follow the Brand Ambassador blog hop, where if you leave some love you are in with a chance of winning the whole release.

Uniko Let's Have Some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun - Day 1

Good morning,

Welcome to the next few days of flippin' awesome designs from the Uniko Brand Ambassadors as we revisit some of the brilliant Uniko Ink & Flip stencils and introduce two new stencils (which are fabulous by the way!).

Today we are revisiting Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Star stencil. I have created a Christmas card using this star but also shown how it doesn't need to be restricted to your Christmas stash.

Using the Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Star I selected several Distress Oxide inks and created shading and used white ink to create a light effect. Once dry I stamped the star banner from Uniko Reach For The Stars stamp set and added the sentiment from the same set in navy. I adhered this panel to a navy card blank to finish.

For this card I offset the stencil and inked up in two shades of pink Distree Oxide ink. the sentiment is from Uniko Most Wonderful stamp set and inked up with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink to match the duck egg blue card blank. Finally I added some Nuvo Drops.

Of course there's lots more inspiration over on the Uniko blog and on each of the Brand Ambassadors individual blogs.

Steph - that's me!

Tomorrow we revisit Uniko Ink & Flip Christmas Star so be sure to pop back.

You're Going to Flip - Introducing Ink & Flip Geometric Butterfly Layering Stencil

Morning!

Today we are introducing the Uniko Ink & Flip Geometric Butterfly layering stencil.

I used both stencils to create my shaker card. First I used the outer stencil to create my background and cut out the centre to create an aperture. I then inked up the centre butterfly on a separate piece of card to use under my shaker element. The ‘shaker’ pieces are clear plastic hexagons so as not to detract from the butterfly. I then used part of the butterfly I had inked in pink as a sentiment strip. Finally I added some Nuvo drops for interest.

Now work your way along the following blog hop to see more superb inspiration from the Brand Ambassadors.

AAA Birthday have a current theme of 'Shaker' for their Game #60.

The Male Room Challenge #185 - Embossing

Hi everyone,

I'm back! I took a little time off from The Male Room design team just to recharge and catch myself back up but I'm back now and very happy to be continuing to keep this brilliant challenge blog going.

Our theme for this month's challenge is 'Embossing' and this can be dry embossing or heat embossing. I went with dry embossing for my card(s).

Believe it or not I started with a white piece of card to which I used a scoreboard to add the vertical lines. I then embossed with an embossing folder and dragged a grey ink pad down the card stock until I was happy with the coverage. I did the same very lightly with a blue inkpad. I die cut the sentiment and added nuvo drops to the corners to act a 'rivets'.

I really enjoyed this process which I first saw on a Gina K YouTube video, so I created another card using the same process but a different embossing folder and different coloured ink.

Will you join us over at The Male Room? We'd love to see your creations over on the blog.

Uniko Introducing - Framed Balloons

Hey there,

Thanks for joining us for the final of the Uniko Introductions before the BIG REVEAL tomorrow. Today we have just the one stamp to introduce but it's a fabulous one: Framed Balloons.

I told you it was fabulous! I turned my card into a shaker by cutting out the centre of the frame and adhering acetate across the gap. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of card before colouring with alcohol markers. I added lots of silver sequins (possibly too many!) before sealing the two layers together with foam tape. The balloons are colours with alcohol markers too but the party confetti is filled in with nuvo drops for texture and dimension.

Head straight over to the Uniko blog to check out the awesome creativity of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors and remember to join us tomorrow for the full Reveal, Release and Brand Ambassador blog hop.

Much love

The Male Room Challenge #159 - Clocks

Welcome all,

Thanks for stopping by today as we launch the new challenge for The Male Room with the theme of ‘Clocks’ this month.

For this challenge I didn’t have much choice of stamps because I only own one clock stamp! It came with an issue of Creative Stamping magazine. I decided to team it with some torn hexagon dies from Daisy Mae Designs. I dug through my stash and discovered some patterned papers I thought suitable and sort of made this card up as I went along!!

I hope you like it and I hope you choose to join in with our challenge. Hop over to The Male Room blog to check out the rest of The Design Teams fabulous makes and join in the fun.

Much love

Funky Fossil Gnomes - Part I

Good morning all,

A while ago I purchased two packs of Funky Fossil’s trio of gnomes (so 6 in total!) and I had the best time decorating them.

This set was given as a late November birthday present so the recipient would be able to use them for Christmas this year.

I have used acrylic paint for the base colours and beards. The decorative elements are a combination of heat embossing, texture paste or painting through a stencil. I’ve added detail with some Nuvo drops, stickles and a white gel pen.

The second set are being given as a gift for Christmas so I will share those at a later date!

I haven’t had time to enter any challenges for ages so here goes:

The Male Room Challenge #157

Hi All,

Welcome to this month's challenge from The Male Room. We have the theme of Food for this month.

Since we are fast approaching Christmas, my choice of food was Christmas pudding!

Here I have used a stamp set from Clearly Besotted called Christmas Pudding. I have stamped the puddings in Lawn Fawn Walnut ink and added the holly stamped in Lawn Fawn Noble Fir and Lobster inks. The sentiment is from the same set and I finished it off with a die cut holly. You can just make out that I have added Nuvo Drops to a couple of the holly berries, on the sentiment and the pudding in the middle of the card front. The panel was then layered onto a dark brown card base.

I hope you will head over to The Male Room challenge blog to check out the other fabulous creations by the talented Design Team and join in the fun!

Much love
