Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Mid Century Modern Baubles

Ooo my goodness,

I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment but my craft mojo has left the building! I think I'm just too busy with other things and having had three weeks visiting family in Northern Ireland, with no crafting, I'm struggling to get back into it.

I wanted to do a Christmas Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post this month as even if you aren't Christmas crafting yet, you can always look back on these posts for some inspiration. I focused on the Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles stamp set as I had so much fun playing with it for the Jul/Aug release and I liked the way some of the other BA's concentrated the smaller stamps.

First I went with a traditional bauble design but gave it a twist by using other Uniko stamp sets to 'decorate' my baubles. The yellow bauble uses Uniko Background Builders: Christmas 2018 to create the scandi pattern. The teal bauble uses Uniko Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas to create the gorgeous Christmas pattern. The navy bauble uses Uniko Pattern Building Christmas Tree set to create the striped pattern and the sentiment is from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments set

For my next card I went with a similar colour set but used the smaller stamps from the set and a nifty tool called a Rotate Mate. This time I used the sentiments from the same set too.

My final card uses a different colour set and as I was adhering the Christmas sentiment I realised this could easily be a birthday card also. This card uses the one bauble to create a mandala or flower effect. I used orange, red and maroon to stamp the baubles.

That's it from me today but I hope you found something to inspire you to break out the Christmas stash!

Papercraft Challenges #98 - Ribbons

Hello and welcome,

Today we have a new challenge over at Papercraft Challenges and the theme is Ribbons.

I was excited by this theme because I don't often incorporate ribbons in my cards so I challenged myself to find a new technique and make some ribbon flowers.

I think these flowers look great and they are fairly easy to do. Rather than me try and hash together an explanation, just head over the this YouTube video and see how it is done! I used gem topped brads for the centre of each flower and adhered them to an ink blended and dry embossed background.

I'd love to see what you are inspired to make with this month's theme. Check out the rest of the Design Teams fantastic makes and join in the fun at Papercraft Challenges #98. The sponsor this month is Little Crafts and the winner will receive a surprise prize!

Much love

The Male Room Challenge #178 - Leaves

Morning all,

We have a perfectly timed challenge over on The Male Room blog today as the theme is ‘Leaves’, perfect to lead us in to autumn.

For my card today I have used the ‘waste’ left from a foiled background and I love the great big splash of gold it gives.

I kept the colour theme simple and die cut my leaves from the same colour card as the background card and added a belated birthday sentiment as it’s always handy to have these in!

Join in the fun at The Male Room here, and check out all the other wonderful Design Team inspiration whilst you are there.

Much love
