Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Alphabet Solid and Background Blocks Waves

Morning all,

As we continue the Uniko 13th Birthday celebrations we have another two stamp sets to introduce today.

Firstly we have Uniko Alphabet Solid stamp set.

I have used the large letters to create four small 'love letters' to peek out of the four die cut envelopes. Since this is a love card, I thought it would be appropriate to use the language of love i.e. Uniko Large Background French Script stamp for the background.

For this card I lined up the letters to create 'BIRTHDAY' and stamped it in black. I slightly shifted the card and stamped again in purple ink to create a shadow. I then took the 'Happy' from several Uniko stamp sets (some now retired) and stamped around the edges. Finally I added a couple of strips of cardstock in black and purple before adhering everything to a slimline card blank.

Secondly today we are introducing Uniko Background Blocks Waves.

Another great background block stamp with very funky wavy lines which I thought would match well with the Uniko Mid Century Modern Frames stamp set.

This card idea was formed after I went to the cinema with the children. Can you guess what film we watched?! (Follow the yellow brick road...). So we have the poppy field from the Uniko Remembrance stamp set and the emeralds made using the Uniko Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Gem stencil and the Uniko Sparkle Sentiments stamp set. Finally the sentiment and hot air balloon from the Uniko Up & Away stamp set were perfect to finish off my card.

Don't forget to check out the Uniko blog for lots more beautiful creations from the Uniko Brand Ambassadors and come back tomorrow for more introductions.

Much love

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Stencil Bright Butterflies & Re-introducing Bright Butterflies Clear Stamps

Good morning,

Welcome back as we run through the Uniko 13th birthday release introductions. Today we have an all new layering stencil called Uniko Bright Butterflies and a re-introduced stamp set by the same name.

I wanted my 'butterflies' to look more like moths for this card so I used more muted Distress Oxide ink colours and a dark blue card base.

For this card I teamed the butterflies with the recently released Uniko Layering Picked Posies stencils.

Now we move onto a re-introduction of Uniko Bright Butterflies stamp set.

This set has three different butterflies so I black heat embossed each one onto a different coloured strip of card before adhering to the card front. The sentiment has been white heat embossed and is also from the set. Lastly I added the black strips with foam pads to cover the joins in the coloured card.

For this card I smooshed some distress oxide inks onto watercolour card and added some metallic watercolour splashes before die cutting the frames. I adhered these to the black card blank. I then heat embossed the butterflies onto vellum using clear sparkle embossing powder and fussy cut before adhering to the three smooshed panels.

Now it's time to head over to the Uniko blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors.

Much love

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Stencil Geometric Happy Birthday

Good morning!

Welcome to the first product introduction on the Uniko 13th Birthday release. There’s lots of fabulousness to come over the next few days so be sure to check back regularly but for now we introduce Uniko Geometric Happy Birthday stencil. This stencil is being offered for free with all release orders over £15.

It’s safe to say I had a lovely time getting inky with this new stencil and teamed it with the Uniko Party Confetti stencil. Absolutely perfect for a children’s birthday card! I stencilled the Geometric Happy Birthday first before masking with low tac tape and laying the Party Confetti stencil over the top and stencilling in a rainbow pattern.

For a more grown up card I used the Uniko Tiger Print stencil inked in two shades of pink Distress Oxide. I then used the Geometric Happy Birthday stencil and drew the edges with black gel pen. I coloured each letter in a shade of pink, using three pink watercolour pencils to complete the word ‘birthday’. As the sentiment is quite large I chose to only use the word ‘birthday’ from the stencil and added the ‘It’s your’ from the Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set.

Lots more amazing introductions to this great stencil over on the Uniko blog so pop on over and take a look.

Much love

Uniko Birthday Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Mix and Match

Welcome,

Today I am using the Uniko Flower Power and Background Builders to mix and match my three cards. I took my inspiration from this lovely card created by Bev during the January 2025 release.

For this card I have used Uniko Flower Power #11 from the January release and Uniko Background Builders: Delightful Diamonds stamp sets. For the sentiment I have used Uniko Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Here I have used Uniko Flower Power #2 and Uniko Background Builders: Round In Circles stamp sets with a sentiment from Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set.

And finally, I have paired Uniko Flower Power #1 with Uniko Background Builders: Seeing Stars and again a sentiment from Uniko Birthday Wishes stamp set.

I hope you like this set of clean and simple cards and I hope they breathe life into your Uniko Flower Power and Background Builders sets again.

AAA Colourful Colourboard #13

Good morning,

Welcome to today's challenge from AAA Colourful. As it's our birthday, the colourboard for challenge #13 looks like this:

I do love a little ink blending with rainbow colours so that is what I did!

I used Distress Oxides in the following colours: Candied Apple, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Broken China, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade. I then used an intricate die to cut the black card and stamped the sentiment using Uniko Simply Said Blocks stamp set.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's rainbow creations and don't forget there's lots of fantastic inspiration over on the AAA Colouful blog.

AAA Cards Challenge #283

Morning all,

Just a quick one from me today as I found a snippet of time to join in with AAA Cards Challenge #283. They have the following colourboard for this challenge:

This stamp set was one I got from a UK magazine and it came with a lovely embossing folder but I chose not to use that here in order to keep the card more CAS. It's difficult to see but I used the darkest green I own which is a brush marker and it has the most lovely sparkle to it.

The AAA Cards Challenge can be found here if you want to join in too.

The Male Room Challenge #195 - Monochrome

Good morning,

I'm here today with challenge #195 from The Male Room which has a theme of 'Monochrome'.

I do find this quite a difficult theme and usually cop out by keeping to black and white for safety! But this time I decided to step out of my comfort zone and went with shades of green instead.

First of all I inked the leafy background onto light green card. I then took three further shades of green card an die cut the Spellbinders Stitched Fall Leaves before arranging them down the left hand side of the panel. Finally I added a sentiment using Uniko Floral Vines stamp set.

Looking forward to seeing what colour you choose for your Monochrome creation, and of course there's lots of lovely inspiration over on The Male Room blog.

Much love
