Papercraft Challenges #97 - Special Card Shapes

Good morning! 

How are we all doing? This month at Papercraft Challenges we have the theme of Special Card Shapes. What a fun theme! It took me a while to think what to do. In all honesty I couldn’t be bothered setting up and finding a cutting file for the electric cutter so I scanned my wall of dies and had a eureka moment! 

I absolutely love this camera die from Crealies Cardzz and I haven’t used it in ages. I last used it to make a mini album but it’s perfect for making a special shaped card also. I added some designer paper and pink glitter accents. I then die cut the outer lens in teal and the inner lens in white. I added the Clearly Besotted bird image and sentiment, coloured with alcohol markers and adhered in place.

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Picked Posies

Good morning all, 

Thanks for joining me today for my Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post. I thought it would be nice to show off the range that Bev created exclusively for Craftstash called Picked Posies.

My first card uses the Uniko Picked Posies Fresh Cut Foliage background stamp and adhered this to the card blank at an angle. I then stamped and die cut the florals from the  Picked Posies set. The sentiment is from the sentiment set of the same name and I have fussy cut it and adhered it over vellum before adding to the card front.

This time I created a monotone card and stamped the background in two shades of purple. Directly onto this I stamped the outline and solid Picked Posies stamps. Finally I die cut the word ‘smile’ using the Uniko Picked Posies Smile layering sentiment.

My final card uses the Picked Posies Plaid layering stencil set over which I have added flowers and foliage stamped and die cut using the Picked Posies set.

Uniko July/August 23 Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Today we are here to reveal to you the full Uniko July/August release and showcase more inspiration using the fantastic products. 

First up we have a large A5 clear stamp set called Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder.

Here I have teamed the stamp set with the newly released Ink & Flip Stencil - Christmas Star. I thought the wreath looked like the large bows you get on the top of presents and the stencil is of course a parcel with a ribbon around! Hopefully you can see where I was going with this idea! The clever thing about this stencil is that you can ink it, flip it and ink it again and it creates a beautiful star in the centre. See my earlier introduction post for an example of this.

The next stamp set to share is an A6 size set called Mid Century Modern Christmas.

I have focussed on the smaller elements of the set and used the parcel to create a wrapping paper pattern for another card featuring a present! 

Lastly in the Mid Century Modern line up is Mid Century Modern Baubles. This is another large A5 stamp set featuring three main baubles and lots of smaller elements to play around with.

My introduction post showcased a very mid century modern style in using this stamp set but here I have created a more clean and simple style.

Next up we have an Art Deco inspired Christmas set called Background Block - Arts Decoratifs Christmas.

There are so many possibilities with this stamp. In the introductions I turned it into a stain glass window and used paper piecing to create a beautiful card. Here I have turned it into a shaker card.

The final stamp set is a fantastic sentiment set which will tie in just perfectly with the previously released Uniko Christmas Sentiments, Everyday Sentiments, Everyday Love Sentiments and Everyday Spring Sentiments amongst others.

Uniko Introducing - Mid Century Modern Baubles

Hello! 

We have a lovely introduction from the Uniko July/August release today. We have an addition to the Mid Century Modern range in the form of baubles.

I have very much followed the mid century modern style with this card but this is such a versatile set that you can make it work in many styles, just wait for release day to see a very different card I have made with this set.

I wanted to use one of the baubles as a spinner for my next card.

The bauble is suspended with thread within the circle aperture. I have left the front sentiment free but there is a sentiment inside hidden just behind the bauble.

Uniko Introducing - Background Blocks Arts Decoratifs Christmas & Everyday Family

Welcome! 

Thanks for joining me today as we introduce Uniko Background Blocks Arts Decoratifs Christmas.

To me this stamp was perfect to create a beautiful stain glass window.

I heat embossed the stamp onto vellum and used alcohol markers to colour the back of the vellum. I then adhered this to a card base with an aperture to let the light through and added a die cut frame. Finally I added a sentiment from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set. 

I also thought this stamp would be nice using the paper piecing technique. I selected Christmas papers and had a jolly old time stamping, cutting and sticking! I used a sentiment from the Uniko Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder stamp set introduced earlier in the week. 

Today we are also introducing Uniko Everyday Family sentiment set which adds on to previously release sentiment sets and gives them a great deal of flexibility as you can personalise your card for that very important family member.

I have teamed the new set with Uniko Big & Bold You, Uniko You Are, Yes You and Uniko Mid Century Modern Purrfect Day stamp sets. I have also used Uniko Mid Century Modern Shapes stencil.

Uniko Introducing - Ink & Flip Stencil - Christmas Star

Good morning! 

I'm so glad you have joined us today for the next product introduction on the Uniko July/August release because we have a very innovative stencil. This is the ink & flip stencil which creates a Christmas Star.

The cleverness of this stencil is that you ink it on one side (pink), flip and ink on the other side (blue) and it creates this fabulous star in the centre. As a break from Christmas I decided to make this into a birthday card using sentiments from the Uniko Floral Vines stamp set and a lovely matching stamp set on this month's Uniko release (see tomorrow's blog post for more).

I wanted to play about with this stencil so I decided to ink it once only and add in Uniko Background Blocks Doodle Flower and Uniko Doodle Flowers stamp sets and I'm very pleased with the result.

Uniko Introducing - Mid Century Modern Christmas

Hey there! 

Welcome back to day two of the Uniko July/Aug release introductions. today we have the Uniko Mid Century Modern Christmas stamp set. 

This is a fun little stamp set which can be played around with as follows:

With lots of little masks I was able to create this lovely pile of presents under the tree. The lovely large sentiment is also part of this set which is just fab!

Now for something a little different...

When I saw the tree, I also knew it would create a fabulous star. I heat embossed the trees in gold around a hexagon shape. This was done on vellum and I used gold pen on the back to give it some more colour. The sentiment is from the Uniko Most Wonderful stamp set and heat embossed in blue. Finally I added white heat embossed stars around the main star. This little stamp is also part of the Mid Century Modern Christmas stamp set.

The Male Room Challenge #177 - Dots and/or Stripes

 Good morning! 

Welcome to this month's challenge at The Male Room which has the theme of Dots and/or Stripes:

Well why choose one? I went for both!! 

Firstly I stamped the dotty background and then I die cut the umbrellas from dark blue card and dotty and striped patterned papers. The raindrops were still attached to the umbrella die so they were a by product of cutting the umbrellas and I liked them to I added them too!

Uniko Introducing - Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder

Good morning, 

I'm so glad you have come back to see the first of the Uniko July / August release introductions because it's a good one (actually they all are!).

Today we have the Uniko Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder.

Who doesn't love a Kraft card base! The wreath builder solid and outline stamps are seperate and slot nicely into each other. I've added the fab bow from the set and some Nuvo drops for detail. Don't you just love this bold font, also part of this set! 

My second card shows how you can 'go rogue' and not bother lining the wreaths up at all! Just stamp away and be happy. Here I added the holly leaves and berries from the set and teamed it with Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set.
